Motocross suspension parts and accessories

Having the fastest dirt bike on the track means nothing if your suspension doesn’t work and it bucks you off at the first sign of breaking bumps or rough and rutted sections.  A good suspension setup is paramount to enjoyable riding and success on the tracks and trails. It can be a science in itself, (just ask any MXGP or AMA pro and they will tell you the days and hours that go into testing to find that right setting) but if you have a good base and perform regular servicing you have already won half the battle.

Regular suspension servicing and advice

Regular servicing would include renewing the fork oil, replacing leaking fork seals and fork seal dust caps and from time to time the fork bushings.  Choosing the correct spring rate for your body weight and riding style usually makes a huge difference and setting up rider sag helps get the most out of the travel on both your front fork and rear shock suspension.

Grabbing the hole-shot with your suspension

Yep you heard us right.  Hole-shot devices have now become the part to have if you want to grab that all important hole-shot.  They lower the center of gravity of the rider and motorcycle which gives extra traction and less chance of wheeling out of the gate and down the start straight. You can place a hole-shot device on your front fork and recent developments also allow a special linkage hole-shot device to lower the rear shock as well.  A powerful combo for that all important first turn. Don’t get left at the back of the pack.
