Who processes your data

What we process and why

• Your order — name, address, email address, phone number and what you buy. Needed to perform the contract: deliver, invoice and keep you informed.
• Your account — email address, password (encrypted) and your addresses. Based on your consent; you can also order without an account.
• Newsletter — email address, first name and language. Based on your consent; you can unsubscribe at the bottom of every email. To make the newsletter better, we measure whether it is opened, which links you click and whether you order something afterwards.
• Payment details — processed by Mollie. We do not see your card or account number, only whether the payment succeeded.
• Your chosen bike — make, model and year we store locally in your browser, so we can show which parts fit. That data stays on your own device.
• Accounting — we keep invoices because the law requires us to.

Who we share it with

Only with parties needed to fulfil your order, and only what they need for that:

• Mollie — payments.
• UPS — your name, address and phone number, to deliver. Outside the EU also what is in the parcel, for customs.
• Our hosting partner — the webshop and the database run on servers in Germany (EU).
• Our accountant — for the statutory administration.

We do not sell your data and do not pass it on to third parties for their own marketing. Our webshop and database are located in the EU. If we ship to a country outside the EU, your name, address and the contents of the parcel necessarily go to UPS and that country's customs — otherwise the parcel cannot be delivered. Where a partner processes data outside the European Economic Area, this happens with the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• Order and invoice data: seven years, as tax law requires.
• Your account: as long as you use it. If you delete it, we erase it, apart from the invoices.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Email contact: up to two years after the last contact.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed to make the shop work: remembering your basket, keeping you signed in and saving your language and country choice. No consent is needed for that, because without these cookies the webshop does not work.

Your chosen bike we keep in your browser's storage and in one cookie, so the shop already knows which parts fit when loading a category page. If you clear it, the shop forgets your bike — nothing more happens.

Your rights

You can always ask us for:

• access to what we keep about you;
• correction of what is wrong;
• erasure of what we are not legally required to keep;
• restriction of or objection to the processing;
• a copy of your data in a common file format.

Send your request to info@gear2win.com. We reply within a month. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).

Security

Traffic with this webshop is encrypted over https. We store passwords only in encrypted form, and only those who need it for their work can access customer data.

If anything changes in how we handle your data, we update this statement. At the top you can see when it was last updated.
